We may collect the following personal information from you when you use our services:
We do not collect or store any payment card details. All payment transactions are securely processed by PayPal. When you make a payment, you will be directed to PayPal’s payment gateway, where you can enter your payment information. We receive a confirmation of the payment from PayPal, but no access to your credit card or bank account information.
We may also collect non-personal information that does not directly identify you, including aggregated data about how our users interact with our services.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We may share your personal information in the following ways:
We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy lists them, explains what each one does, and lets you change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How you found us. When you book a free trial, the booking form also tells us how you first arrived at our website (for example a Google search, an advert or a link on another site), the first page you landed on, and the pages you viewed on our website before booking, with the dates of those visits. Your browser keeps this list for up to 90 days, and it reaches us only if you submit the form. It does not include anything you typed on other pages. We keep it with your booking details and use it to learn which parts of our website help families decide.
Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity). If you accept statistics cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our website, so we can find pages that are confusing or hard to use and improve them. Clarity records how you move through our pages (scrolling, clicks, taps and mouse movement), which pages you visit, and technical details such as your device, browser, screen size and approximate location. It blanks out anything you type into our forms, and it blanks out students’ names and certificates on our Student Achievements page. We do not record the individual certificate pages at all. A recording is linked to a random code, not to your name. If you book a trial, the same code is sent with your booking so that we can see how you used the website before booking.
Clarity is a Microsoft service. Microsoft stores the data on its servers, which may be outside the UK, including in the United States. Recordings are kept for 30 days, and recordings we save and heatmaps for up to 13 months. Microsoft’s own use of the data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. If you do not accept statistics cookies, or you withdraw your consent, Clarity does not run.
Many of our students are children. A child is enrolled by their parent or legal guardian, who gives us the child’s details and agrees to our Terms of Service on the child’s behalf. We use a child’s details only to teach them, to arrange their lessons and to keep their parent or guardian informed of their progress.
Certificates of achievement. When a student finishes a course, a level or a part of the Quran, we may show their certificate, with their name and achievement, on our Student Achievements page. We do this only after a parent or guardian has given us permission, or the student if they are 18 or over. A parent or guardian can withdraw permission at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will remove the certificate promptly.
If you believe we hold a child’s information without a parent or guardian’s agreement, please email [email protected] and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the effective date.
We use YouTube API Services to publish our own lesson videos on our YouTube channel and to read and answer comments on those videos. When you comment on our YouTube videos, we see the public comment text and your public channel name, only so that we can reply. We do not sell this information or share it with anyone. We delete it from our records within 30 days.
By watching or commenting on our videos on YouTube, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
If you have ever given our app access to your Google account, you can remove that access at any time on your Google security settings page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). To ask us to delete any information we hold about you, email [email protected].
