Excellent
She studied Surah Al-Ikhlas recitation and interpretation, the alphabet until the letter Zay.
She just needs to listen to Surah Al-Ikhlas some more times to master its recitation and to memorize very well the alphabetic letters that we studied today.
She is very intelligent, tabarak Allah, and responsive enough.
Every child starts where they are. In the free trial the teacher checks your child's level and tells you which step to begin with.

“I am happy with the teacher. He works at my sons pace. Ensures he has understood lesson before progressing further. Effective communication and feedback. So far a great start.”

From five, once a child can sit and focus for a short session. At that age a lesson is 30 minutes: letters and their sounds, short surahs learned by ear, and plenty of repetition. Older children and teenagers start wherever they are. In the free trial the teacher hears your child read and suggests the right starting point.
Right here. Every lesson at Quranic Mind Academy is one child with one teacher, live on video, at a time agreed with you. Book a free 30-minute trial lesson with the form at the bottom of this page, and we will message you on WhatsApp to pick a time. You are welcome to sit in.
If you are comparing academies, our guide How to choose an online Quran academy lists the checks that matter before you book anywhere.
One path, from the first letter to reading the Mushaf. Complete beginners start with the Noorani Qaida or Noor Al-Bayan, whichever suits the child: the Arabic letters, their sounds and vowel marks, a few at a time. Next comes joining letters into words and reading from the Mushaf, as in our Quran reading and recitation course. Tajweed is taught through the verses your child is reading, not as abstract rules, and older children can go deeper with the online Tajweed course.
Children who are ready can memorise Juz' Amma and beyond on the Quran memorization course, with a fixed revision plan. Some families also add the Arabic language course or the Islamic studies course.
Teaching a child the Quran is not a smaller version of teaching an adult. A young child's attention is limited, and mistakes feel bigger when other children are listening. So the lesson is short, the teacher is theirs alone, and it happens at home. Your child reads for the whole lesson and the teacher hears every letter, so a mispronounced letter is corrected at once, kindly, with nobody else listening.
For ages 5 to 7 that means 30-minute lessons, a few letters at a time, short surahs learned by ear and repeated together. For ages 8 to 12 it means 30 or 45-minute lessons, reading straight from the Mushaf, tajweed learned through the verses being read, and homework kept light enough to fit around school. The same teacher teaches every week and written notes carry forward, so a week missed for a holiday or a cold does not mean starting over.
This is the child the format was designed for. The lesson is short, your child reads or recites for almost all of it instead of waiting for a turn, and the teacher changes activity the moment attention drifts. Two or three short lessons a week hold a young child's attention far better than one long class, and there is no group to be distracted by.
The lesson happens in your own home, on live video, in a room you can see into, and you are welcome to sit in on any of it. There is no drop-off at an unfamiliar building and no closed door.
Teachers do not message students privately outside lesson time. Homework, summaries and reports come through the lesson and the parent dashboard, and anything else goes through our support team on WhatsApp, so a parent is always in the loop. You choose a male or female teacher, and you can change teacher at any time, free.
Our teachers are native Arabic speakers who teach live from Egypt. They are fluent in English, so explanations, corrections and homework come in English. We choose them for patience, clear recitation and the ability to explain a rule in plain words to a five-year-old. You can read about each of them on our teachers page.
Yes, on any lesson, from the trial lesson onwards. Parents often sit in for the first few weeks and then step back once the child has settled, checking the class report and the monthly Student Report instead. Some pick up the correct pronunciation themselves this way and help with practice during the week.
Everything we send is in English. After each lesson you get a class report with the teacher's remark, a summary of what was covered, the homework and a note. Each month you get a Student Report with achievements, progress and learning objectives, and the parent dashboard shows where your child has reached and what comes next. So you can see which letters were covered, which surah is being worked on and what to practise, without reading a word of Arabic.
Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, two to five days a week, at times agreed with your teacher. Two or three short lessons a week suit most children: regular short lessons keep the letters fresh far better than a single long one. The youngest children usually do best with 30 minutes.
Early morning, after school, evenings or weekends, agreed with your teacher in your own time zone. Families in the UK, the US and elsewhere learn with us at times that fit around school. To move a lesson, message us on WhatsApp at least an hour before and we will reschedule it. A lesson missed without notice counts as attended.
For families in the UK, our guide to online Quran classes in the UK shows how lessons fit around a UK school week.
Not all screen time is the same. A short, supervised lesson with a real teacher, in which your child is reading aloud and being corrected, is closer to a video call with a grandparent than to passive scrolling. The screen is the doorway to the teacher, not the activity, and a parent is usually in the room.
Either. The mosque class gives a child community and friends, and we do not replace that. What it usually cannot give is one teacher for one child for the whole lesson, correction of every word as it is read, and a written record of progress. Some families keep the mosque class and add one or two online lessons a week to fix the reading; others move online entirely when the group class is not working for their child.
The homework in each class report says exactly what to practise, often listening to a surah a few more times or reviewing the letters from the lesson. For the letters, children aged 5 to 9 can play Letter Garden, our free game in which they hear each letter's name and tap to find it.
Yes. Teenagers are welcome and start wherever they are. Parents who want lessons of their own can learn with us too: see online Quran classes for adults.
The trial is a real 30-minute lesson, not a sales call. Leave your name and phone number in the form below and we will message you on WhatsApp to pick a time. The teacher works out where your child is and teaches them something they can show you afterwards. No card is needed. If it suits your child, you choose a plan; if not, nothing is owed.
Every paid month is covered. If you feel your child is not benefiting, tell us before the period your last paid invoice covers ends and we will refund that invoice in full, even if every lesson in it was attended. A refund under this guarantee ends the enrolment. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.
One flat rate for every course: £7 per hour, or $10 or €9. You choose the lesson length and the number of days a week, and the monthly price follows from that. There is no sign-up fee. The full table is on our pricing plans page.
Your name and phone number are all we need. We will message you on WhatsApp to pick a time.
