There is no age limit, and your teacher plans every lesson around where you actually are, not where a class has reached. With the letters. Your teacher starts with each Arabic letter, its sound and its vowel marks, then joined words, then short lines from the Mushaf, as in our Noorani Qaida online course. Usually the Quran reading and recitation course. Your trial teacher hears you read and tells you whether recitation practice or the online Tajweed course is the better next step. If your goal is memorisation, the Quran memorization course runs on a written plan with a fixed revision cycle. To understand what you recite, there is the Arabic language course, and the Islamic studies course covers belief, worship and the life of the Prophet ﷺ.

It depends on where you start and how many lessons you have a week. Adults often move faster than they expect once the order is right: letters and sounds first, then joined words, then short surahs, with tajweed corrected as you go rather than added at the end. Yes. Women and girls can ask for a female teacher when they book, and we match you before the trial lesson. We also have male teachers. If a teacher turns out not to suit you, we change them at no cost.

Native Arabic speakers who teach live from Egypt. They are fluent in English, so explanations, corrections and homework come in English. We choose them for patience, clear recitation and the ability to explain a rule in plain words to someone who has never seen Arabic script. You can read about each of them on our teachers page.

Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, two to five days a week, at times you agree with your teacher in your own time zone: early morning before work, a lunch break, the evening or the weekend. To move a lesson, message us on WhatsApp at least an hour before and we will reschedule it. A lesson missed without notice counts as attended.

After each lesson your teacher writes a class report: a remark, a summary of what you covered, your homework and a note. Each month you get a Student Report with your achievements, progress and learning objectives, and the dashboard shows where you have reached. Reminders go out before every lesson and support is on WhatsApp. If you miss a week, the written notes mean your teacher picks up where you left off.

Yes. The courses are stages on one path. When you read fluently, your teacher tells you that you are ready for recitation or tajweed, and from there memorisation or Arabic if that is your goal. You receive a certificate when you complete each course.

Every paid month is covered. If you feel the lessons are not helping, tell us before the period your last paid invoice covers ends and we will refund that invoice in full, even if every lesson in it was attended. One flat rate for every course: £7 per hour, or $10 or €9. You choose the lesson length and the number of days a week, and the monthly price follows from that. There is no sign-up fee. The full table is on our pricing plans page.
